Selmer Adolf Jackson (May 7, 1888 – March 30, 1971) was an American stage film and television actor. He appeared in nearly 400 films between 1921 and 1963. His name was sometimes spelled Selmar Jackson.
Jackson was born on May 7, 1888, in Lake Mills, Iowa
Jackson gained early acting experience in stock theater, working with groups such as the Des Moines Stock Company. Jackson's screen debut was in the silent film The Supreme Passion (1921). He readily made the transition to sound films.
On March 30, 1971, Jackson died of a heart attack in Burbank, California. He was 82.
